TRBL Member Alfred Machin passed away this morning 22nd Jan.

Dear Member,

IT IS WITH GREAT REGRET THAT I HAVE TO INFORM YOU THAT ONE OF OUR MEMBERS ALFRED MACHIN PASSED AWAY THIS MORNING 22nd JANUARY AT THE AGE OF 88 YEARS.

THE FUNERAL WILL BE HELD THIS FRIDAY AT THE McKEAN HOSPITAL. I WILL SEND DETAILED TIMINGS TOMORROW WHEN I HAVE THEM.

AT THE REQUEST OF HIS SON BOB AND DAUGHTER IN LAW JAA, PLEASE DO NOT SEND FLORAL TRIBUTES, INSTEAD DONATE ANY MONIES YOU WOULD SPEND ON THEM TO DOK KAEW GARDENS.

ON BEHALF OF US ALL I EXTEND OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHIES TO BOB, JAA, AND THE FAMILY.

The funeral of our late member Alfred Machin will be at 13.30hrs (1.30pm) 0n Friday 25th at the Mckean institute.

TRBL Chiang Mai take Rice etc. to Ban Mamaeh school, Chiang Dao

Last November (2011), the RBL in conjunction with the City Life Garden Party, raised 38,000 baht for the Ban Mamaeh school, Chiang Dao..

The school asked for rice etc to see them through the rainy season, as there is only a track for the final few kilometers and once the rain starts, access is very difficult. A convoy of 5 vehicles made the journey, with Legion members and friends of the school.
